Based in the Lancashire town of Darwen, Ritherdon & Company was founded in 1895 and remains a family-run business employing around forty people. Many employees have more than 25 years service with the company, reflected in Ritherdon’s Investor in People Award for its dedication to staff training.

Wherever possible and to ensure punctual and safe delivery, we use our own transport.

Our speciality is the manufacture of high quality metal enclosures for the electricity distribution industry and for local authority highways and street lighting departments.

We are the largest supplier of steel domestic meter boxes to the UK’s regional electricity companies (RECs) and supply meter box refurbishment units to RECs and social housing providers.

Our sales team can advise on the most appropriate products for your requirements and will make site visits if necessary.

With modern CNC production capacity and in-house stove enamelling and powder coating, we can offer a fast turn round on bespoke orders and immediate availability on standard products.
