Ritherdon & Company Ltd. are the largest supplier of steel domestic meter boxes to the UK’s regional electricity companies (REC’s) and supply meter box refurbishment units to REC’s and social housing providers.

Located in the Lancashire town of Darwen, Ritherdon and Co Ltd. was founded in 1895 and remains a family-run business. As sheet metal enclosure specialists, we manufacture high quality metal enclosures for the electricity distribution industry and for local authority highways and street lighting departments.

Many Ritherdon employees have more than 25 years’ service for the company, highlighted in Ritherdon’s ‘Investor in People’ award for our dedication to staff training. Our dedication and meticulous attention to detail has ensured that we have continued to produce the highest quality products for over a century.
